The new shop opened today at 110 Pelham Road S (on the south end of the square beside The Moon), offering vintage clothes, vinyl records, homemade scarves and soaps tuned for sensitive skin, along with a range of hippie artifacts from paintings and more.

Owner Mackenzie Henderson said she’d been dreaming of a place to call her own, where she could sell groovy clothes, her handmade goods and good-vibes oddities, when the property opened up on the square. She and her family staked the location almost immediately, she said.

“I want to share the weirder things with people, not just the cookie-cutter stuff,” Henderson said, surrounded by customers Thursday morning.

She invited the community to visit The Magick Shack and see what’s on offer. The store is open 11 to 6 Tuesdays through Saturdays, and will have free refreshments for visitors through this weekend.

“I feel like there’s something for everyone in here,” Henderson said. “I let things find people; come in and see what finds you.”
